Current processing timeframes at the California Bureau of Real Estate

From a previous post, you know that the California Bureau of Real Estate - like other state agencies- is facing a serious budget shortfall. The BRE is closed three Fridays a month now and many staff that were focused on licensing have now been moved over to enforcement.

What does this mean for you the license applicant? Well....

As of July 27, 2009 the BRE is processing combo broker/salesperson applications received June 16, 2009. This is a 6 1/2 week gap from the date that your application is received versus when it is processed.
