Less people are getting their licenses and taking the exam

Check this out:

In October of 2008 1,480 people took the real estate salespersons exam and 866 people took the broker exam.

Compare this with October of 2005 where 16,729 people took the real estate salespersons exam and 1,688 people took the broker exam.

What does this mean for you? Less competition. Less people thinking that real estate is easy money. Those that are going to get into the business now are more likely to view real estate as a career as opposed to a "bandwagon" type situation.

These statistics were taken from the Department of Real Estate in California.
